A well-known garden spread in the house where one of the members of the Shioda Gu family, Isosome [Isome], resides. It is a stunning Karesan water garden (Meishatsu) with Lake Biwa as a borrowed view, and was built in cooperation with the tea-maker Yoon Fujimura [Yoken], who was active in the early Edo period, and the local goshishi Yuyasu Kitamura [Yuan]. In the year of Oei (1394-1427), the Zen temple of the Rinzai sect Daitoku-ji school, reportedly founded by the Hwaso [Kasou] Zen master. It is also known as a temple where Kazuhisa Ikkyu, famous for Tonchi, practiced as a disciple of a Zen master when he was young. Wooden statues of two monks are enshrined in Kaesan-dou. It was also visited by haiku poet Matsuo Bashō, and the phrase "Asacha Drinking Monk Quiet Chrysanthemum no Hana" is left as a punctuation in the fall of the year of Genroku 3 (1690). One of the Omi-Hakkei, a scenic spot known as "Jōda no Rakugan". The Dou, which was built to bring out Lake Biwa, was named because it looks as if it is floating on the lake. The Zen temple of the Rinzai sect, which is officially called the Kaimenzan-ji Temple and belongs to the Daitokuji Temple in Kyoto. Around the year of Changde (995-999), the beginning is transmitted when the Genshin monkcapital carved the Amida Buddha and wished for the safety of traffic in Lake Biwa. The current Ukimido was rebuilt in 1937. The main statue and the secret Buddha of the Holy King (Important Cultural Property) are enshrined in the Kannon-do along with the statue of the Yakushi Nyorai and the statue of the Eleanwhon. There is also a monument of Basho, who liked this land and visited this land.

Yumoto Tate of Ogoto Onsen also accepts day bathing. You can enjoy visiting the water in the hall, such as Rochengetsu Shinoyu on the top floor (11th floor) with a panoramic view of Lake Biwa. Spa estes such as Ayurveda and Sirodara are also well received.

平成20年(2008)3月15日、JR雄琴駅がおごと温泉駅に駅名変更されたことを機にできた足湯。おごと温泉は、比叡山延暦寺の開祖である伝教大師最澄が発見したと伝わる温泉で、足湯の建物はその最澄が自作したと伝わる石地蔵が祭られている早尾地蔵尊に立つ六角形のお堂を模したもの。

地下1500mの古琵琶湖層から湧出した、ラドンを多量に含む弱アルカリ性低温泉を、適温まで加熱させてからそのまま使用している、近畿でも稀な天然ラドン泉。併設のホテルでの宿泊パックも好評。
