Screw Screw Wood

On a five-minute walk from the national holiday village, you encounter a mysterious pine tree near the Ushui Pond. The part that is twisted into a ring is not a trunk but a root. In addition to the view of Mount Norikura from the pond, there is a well-maintained promenade, and trekking to the vicinity of Ichinose Sonji is recommended. In the spring, a dainty figure of a water-bangarfish can be seen.

Norikura Plateau

At an altitude of 1500m, the area is surrounded by white birch, water oak, and silabiso, and the area is a treasure trove of mountain grass where the azalea can be found in bloom since early summer. The central Ichinose grassland is dotted with ponds, moors, and birch forests. From the Ichinose grassland to the Ushidome pond, the water tree blooms from late April to mid-May, and rare plants and animals also inhabit. In the plateau, a walking path called "Joyful Walks Norikura" is established, and according to your physical strength, there is a course around Zengoro's waterfall, Sanhontaki, and Ichinose grassland. It is recommended to take the Norikura Tourism Center ~ Zengoro Waterfall ~ Ushidome Pond ~ Azami Pond (Ichinose Grakuri) ~ 3 hours of "Norikura Trail" around the Norikura Tourism Center.

Ichinose

Located approximately in the center of the Norikura Plateau, an area dotted with grasslands and moors, streams and ponds, and a number of promenades. The idyllic mood drifts from June to September. There are spots such as beautiful mime ponds reflecting Mount Norikura, dojo ponds where water blossoms bloom, and screw trees, and plums, vim, and azaleas bloom one after another from May to mid-June.

Waterfall of Zengoro

A 21.5m high and 8m wide waterfall formed at the terminal of a lava flow due to volcanic activity on Mount Norikura. A long time ago, when Zengoro, who lived in the village of Onogawa (a village downstream from the Bansho), was fishing, he was drawn into a waterfall hole by a large rock hanging on a fishing hook and escaped from his life, it is said that it came to be called Zengoro's waterfall. From the promenade that passes near the waterfall, you can look up at the waterfall as close as you take a splash, and if you go up to the waterfall meeting, which is a short distance away, you can see Mount Norikura through the forest. In the morning, sunlight enters the waterfall and a small rainbow is seen.

The Three Falls

The waterfall located at the top of the three major waterfalls of the Norikura Plateau. Three waterfalls, both water sources and quaint, run down side by side. It has also become the designated name of Nagano Prefecture. You can enjoy waterfalls with various scenery in each season such as remaining snow, fresh green, autumn leaves, etc.

Cattle Rows

Located at an altitude of 1580m, a small pond formed in a depression of the lava plateau from the eruption of Mount Norikura. The pond, surrounded by primeval forests such as evergreen Oshirabiso and Sawara, can be circled, and a full view of Mount Norikura can be seen above the natural forest from the east bank where the tsuya is located. Mount Norikura is reflected upside down on the surface of the mirror-like Ushidome Pond, and it is also a shooting point for landscape photography. From late April to mid-May, the pond is filled with moor plants, such as water plants, and flowers such as water ponds, and from July to August, a dragonfly growing in high mountains can be seen. There is also a course of about 20 minutes following the waterfall of Zengoro.

White Bone Hot Spring Public Field Bath

At the end of the long steps down, a stop-by hot spring at the Shirone Hot Spring built along the mountain stream of Yukawa. Yufune is an open-air bath that is made up of stones for both men and women, and the babbling of the river is approaching, and you can enjoy bathing with a perfect taste. New green, autumn leaf season is particularly recommended. It is also attractive that there is a large capacity in the white bone day facility.

Foam Hot Water Inn

"Bubonoyu Ryokan" in Shirabone Onsen is also popular because it accepts day bathing. The charm is, of course, Ono Tenbai, a mixed bath full of wildness. While watching the beautiful landscape that changes its expression every season, let's enjoy the hot water of the white-turfed sulfur spring. There is also a large amount of hot water and a variety of hot water vessels, so of course there are also bathtubs that flow from the source.

Water gas

A remnant of the vigorous volcanic activity of the Shirabone Hot Springs area, the water-tuyō and spherical limestone formed by sedimentation of sediment around the spewed hot springs. It is now covered by tree forests and assimilated into natural forests, but traces can be seen in rocks and deep holes. There is a commentary board in front of the White Ship Grand Hotel. The wall at the back of the tourist information center is a natural rock of water gas and spherical limestone. Rock swatters are also on display.
