Sea of Japan Fish Town

It is one of the largest marine markets on the Sea of Japan side with 60 stores including souvenir shops and eateries. The inside of the office is full of life, with the voice of a dashing salesman. There are plenty of products such as seafood, seafood and local sake. The eateries offer sushi, snacks and seasonal seasons, mainly seafood bowls.

Uninhabited island "Mizushima" resort

Matsubara swimming beach in Kehi

A swimming beach in Matsubara, Kehi, one of Japan's three largest Matsubara. The white sandy beach, which is colored with pine green, has been selected as the "100 best white sand blue pine trees in Japan". There is also a sea play equipment for children in the gentle sea facing Tsuruga Bay, which is recommended for families.

Sugitsu PA [Up]

A parking area on the Hokuriku Expressway in Sugitsu, Tsuruga City. It is located halfway between Imajo IC and Tsuruga IC. During this time, the Hokuriku Expressway is a section with many tunnels, and it is a good rest point for a break of driving fatigue. It has a reputation for its various set-up meals, which appear on hot hot iron plates, and the food court's popular No.1 menu is "pork bean sprouts ginger-grilled set meal." the pork and vegetables are plentiful, and the sizzling sound is tantalizing. A set of Fukui's specialty soba and sauce katsudon is also recommended. "Platto Park" (7 to 21 o'clock), which has an entrance where you can use the facilities of PA from the general road, is attached.

Sugitsu PA [Descent]

A parking area located between the Tsuruga IC and Imajo IC on the Hokuriku Expressway. During this period, the tunnel is a continuous section, and the long Tsuruga Tunnel is ahead of the PA. It is recommended to take a breath here. There is the "Yuhi no Atelier" observation deck, which is famous as a view point with a superb view of Tsuruga Bay, which is also certified as a "lover's holy place". "Echizen Chilled Oroshi Soba", which focuses on noodles, "Sauce Katsu-don" (3 pieces of low-cut) unique to Fukui, and "Tokimori Sauce Katsu-don" using 5 pieces of low-cut cutlets are enough to eat.

Former Dungagang Station Building

A modern building with a striking roof that stands beside the port of Tsuruga. It was a re-creation of the former National Railway Tsuruga Station, which was the nearest station to Tsuruga Port, at the time of the "Tsuruga Kirameki Minato Haku 21" in 1999. The Europe-Asia International Contact Train, which started operation in 1912, was the fastest traffic route between Japan and Europe using the world's longest Siberian Railway (about 9300km). The port of Tsuruga is also known as the port where Jewish refugees landed during World War II, with a visa for the life of Chiune Sugihara, who was the acting Lithuanian consul. The inside of the museum is a railway museum, which displays uniforms, models of rails and dioramas from the time of the National Railways.

Tsuruga Red Brick Warehouse Diorama

The facility used a building built as an oil depot in 1905. The building was registered as a national registered tangible cultural material in 2009 and renewed in 2015 with a diorama hall, restaurant hall and open garden. The diorama building in the north wing is a recreation of the pre-war city of Tsuruga, displaying the largest diorama in Japan with a total length of 27.6m and a depth of 7.5m. You can look down on the streets of Tsuruga with your face from the diorama show and diorama, and you can enjoy it from adults to children.

Minato Tsuruga floathouse

Located on Museum Street, the "Minato Tsuruga-ga-kai-kan" displays the courageous and brilliant floats (real life) that are used to cruise at the Higashi Shrine Annual Festival. In the theater, which is shown while watching the floats in front of you, you can enjoy the feeling of the festival with powerful footage. Inside the hall, there is an exhibition room such as armor, helmet, and Noh mask used for decoration of floats, and there is also a corner where you can take a memorial photograph with a helmet. The annex utilizing the former Owada Bank building is a cultural property of the Japanese heritage site "Kitamae Funa Port of Call and Ship Owner Settlement", and in addition to historical materials of Minato-cho Tsuruga, such as a model of Kitamae ship. There is also a permanent exhibition of "Tsuruga Jōjo Ohtani Yoshitsugu", which is popular with history fans.

Tsuruga Kombukan
