Nanjo SA [Up]

A service area located in Minami-Echizen-cho, Fukui Prefecture, which is famous as the birthplace of flower lotus, which boasts the largest shipment volume in Japan. It is located between the Takefu IC and Imajo IC on the Hokuriku Expressway. There is a smart IC that can be used all day. Nanjo SA [Descent]

SA located between Imajo IC and Takefu IC on the Hokuriku Expressway. It is located in Minami-Echizen-cho, Fukui Prefecture, famous as the birthplace of flower lotus, which boasts the largest shipment volume in Japan. Nearby sightseeing spots include the Soto sect Omotoyama Eiheiji Temple, which is known for its zazen practice, and you want to stop on the way to the sightseeing spot. Road Station Kono

Flower Park

Every year in July and August, about 130 species of the world's flower lotus flower one after another. "Hasu Festival" is also held for about one and a half months (late June to late August) according to the flowering period. There are events such as the "Zouhana Cup" where a drink is poured into a lotus leaf to drink, and the "guu paper" making experience of making washi paper with lotus fiber. In addition, you can taste unusual products such as Hasu Udon, Hasu Soft Cream, and Hasu Tea.

Imajo Inn

It flourished as a transportation hub connecting Kyoto to Hokuriku, Wakasa and Echizen, and as a post town on the Hokukoku Kaido during the Edo period. Along the road, which extends north-south on the west side of JR Imajo Station, there is still a lot of overcast features, including buildings from the late Edo period and the town of the post town. Among them, the Jingoro Kyoto family, whose reddish, Echizen-tiled roof and Utate, give off the gaiwa color. Inside JR Imajo Station, there is also the Imajo Machinami Information Hall, which introduces history and highlights, and you can enjoy it even more when you stop before walking.

Somayama Castle Ruins

Soma Mountain, which has a good view, is the place where the castle of the military base of the Hokuriku Expressway was built since ancient times. During the North and South Dynasties period, it became a base for the South Korean Army, and Nitta Yoshisada tried to reinvigorate this castle. The surrounding area is designated as a national historic site, and is dotted with highlights such as Tōnike, Hime-hole, and Inu Return. Follow the promenade to the top and enjoy a hike of about 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Mountain Stream Hot Springs Gwan Zhuang

A hot spring facility where you can enjoy the spring quality of a mountain stream hot spring, which has long been famous as a beautiful hot water with a thick feel. In addition to day bathing, it can also be used for accommodation. Specialized dishes using ingredients from Ikeda-cho, which is rich in nature, are also popular. There is also a shop selling local specialties.

Tree Picnic Adventure.

"Forest and tree theme park" in Ikeda-cho. The outdoor area is dotted with log houses, arboreal tents floating between trees, and covered barbecue houses. Take on a thrilling zip line challenge in the Mega Zip Line area. Glide as you fly over a 1km-long wire stretched over a ridge from a mountain ridge, admiring the magnificent landscape. In the Adventure Park area, children and adults can enjoy the giant jungle gym on a tree. You can also have lunch at the cafe in the center house.

Soba no Sato Ikedaya

You can make and taste the special grated soba noodles in a nostalgic private house with your own hands (up to 3300 yen for 6 dishes, 100 yen for one meal). The experience of soba noodles is held twice a day from 10 o'clock to 15 o'clock.

The Bridge

A suspension bridge with a total length of 44m and a height of 12m over the Asuwa River valley. Let's enjoy the rapids that can be seen from the gap of the bridge and the thrill of shaking every time a person moves.
