バーベキューコーナーやサイクリングターミナルをはじめ、温泉・温水プールなどを備えたハイウェイオアシス「松任海浜公園」が隣接し、スマートICも接続する。上下線のPAはエレベーターもある連絡橋で結ばれており、連絡橋を渡ると目の前に砂浜が広がる。日本海を眺めながら散歩を楽しみたい。フードコート「金澤8[エイト]キッチン」では、徳光PAのご当地うどんである「徳光うどん」が好評。地元企業である株式会社スギヨとコラボした「スギヨさんのジャンボカニカマうどん(そば)」も販売する。ドッグランもある。

国道8号沿い、金沢市と小松市の中間に位置する道の駅。レストランは白山市の豊かな食材を存分に活かしたメニューを提供。130席もの広々とした空間で「木滑なめこ天そば」などが楽しめる。地場産品売場には、地元の生産者による採れたての野菜や果物、地酒やお菓子などが豊富に並ぶ。地元産おまっと牛乳をつかったジェラートが人気。観光情報コーナーでは、パノラマスクリーンで観光スポットや観光情報を上映しているほか、市内に3カ所ある鉄道車両基地をパネルで紹介。鉄道ファンにも人気だ。

白山麓から手取川扇状地の歴史と文化を紹介している。古代の東大寺領横江荘遺跡、郷土の偉人、四季の農村のくらし、また刀剣の人間国宝、故隅谷正峯氏の作品などを展示している。

「朝顔やつるべとられてもらひ水」などの句で知られる江戸時代の女流俳人加賀の千代女や、俳句、季語についてを映像や作品等で紹介。また、俳句愛好者には句会の場所としても利用できる。

A temple with the Chiyo Nizuka inscribed with the phrase of Chiyojo Retirement; a temple in the precinct that houses Chiyojo's patronage and other items; the main hall and bell tower (the original picture of the Brahma bell is written by Shikōsaku Purikata), and Chiyo Nidō are designated as national registered cultural property.
