Uipigshi Bird Museum

Built on the banks of Tebanuma, the museum has a theme of coexistence between birds and humans. The second floor displays a diorama that recreates the ecology of the birds living in Tecanuma. The third floor displays taxidermy of about 300 kinds of birds of the world. There are also fossil replicas such as Archaeopteryx showing the origin of birds and the evolutionary process, as well as exhibits of restored ancient birds. 300 yen for general, 200 yen for high and university students, and 70 years and older, junior high school students and younger are free.

Tetaganuma Park

It is a vast park with an area of about 4.6ha overlooking the Taganuma on the front. There is also a mini-railway running on Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays and spring and summer vacations, and a rental cycle around the lakeside. It is nice to be able to play with families while touching the nature of Taganuma.

Uisonshi City, Tsuganuma Hydrophilic Square, Water Hall

Water Environment Conservation Awareness and Agricultural Base Facility spread to the shores of Lake Teban. The water hall in the central facility includes a corner, a planetarium and an observation room where you can learn about the creatures, history and culture of Teganuma, as well as a produce shop and a restaurant. In addition, there is a water square and a jabujabu pond outside where you can play in the water. The view from the observation room has been selected as "100 views of Chiba Observation", and you can see 360 degrees over Teganuma, etc., and you can see Mount Fuji when the air is clear. In addition, a binocular telescope is also installed, allowing you to enjoy a distant view. The restaurant also offers terrace seating, and you can enjoy a variety of local safe and secure fresh vegetables while looking at Teganuma.

Shiga Naoya House Site

Where Naoya Shiga lived in Taisho 4-13 (1915-1924). Here, he presented a number of masterpieces that adorned the history of Japanese literature, such as "At the Castle of the Castle" and "The Dark Night Route". He said that he also visited a coterie of the Hakka school, as well as Ryūnosuke Akutagawa and Liu Kishida, and had a taste like an artist's salon. Although there is no building of his residence, the garden trees of that time remain, and a teahouse-style study has been relocated to a nearby location. The study is open to the public only from 10 to 14 o'clock on Saturday and Sunday. It is not carried out in case of rainy weather.

Taganuma

An elongated swamp resembling the shape of the hiragana "tsu" with a circumference of 38km. A treasure trove of birds, including coots, aquatic creatures such as Makomo Yoshi and Higamama, and fish such as koi crucian. The sight of people hanging out walks and fishing lines is constant. From the end of the Meiji era to the early Showa era, writers from the White Birch school, such as Naoya Shiga and Mitsunori Mushakoji, set up their residence in the area around the swamp, and now they are dotted with literary monuments and memorial parks in memory of those literary people. There is also a 5km promenade along the swamp on the side of the city. In spring to summer, cherry blossoms and hydrangeas add color to the roadside, and in winter, waterfowl such as ducks and black-headed gulls fly.

Orchard Garden Water Regeneration Orchard

In addition to picking fruits such as summer grapes and autumn kiwi fruit, you can also dig potatoes in autumn. There is also a barbecue terrace (barrier-free, reservation required) that brings in ingredients, and a direct sale of fresh vegetables and fruits, "Shunkana". You can enjoy picking strawberries in winter (reservation required).

Nagareyama City General Transport Park

The park boasts the largest area of Nagareyama. The large site includes sports facilities such as a gymnasium, baseball field, and tennis courts, as well as a picnic square and athletic facilities for adults and children.

Natural Hot Spring Karakuyu

Convenient access hot spring facilities that stand along Route 16. The bathroom, located on the second floor, is complete with high-concentration charcoal springs and far-infrared saunas in the inner bath. In the open-air area leading outside, besides the large rock-built natural hot springs, there are stone baths, whirlpool baths and steaming-style kamba baths, which are equipped with electric baths for men and sleeping baths for women. The radon mist rock bath, a healing sauna made of natural ore, has a refreshment effect due to the hormesis effect and is well received by both men and women.

Tenganuma Sightseeing Resort Natural Hot Springs

A day bathing facility located on the shores of Lake Teganuma where you can enjoy the nature of the four seasons. The hot springs are used for the main tub of the inner bath and the open-air rock bath, jar bath, and atsuyu, while the open-air zone is where you can enjoy the hot water from the source. From the second floor view, you can overlook the beautiful lakeside of Teganuma.
