Tochigi Prefecture Nakagawa Water Amusement Park

The only aquarium in Tochigi Prefecture. At the aquarium, 300 species of 20,000 fish (from the local Naka River to the world's freshwater fish and coral reef fish) are on display. Among them, attention is paid to the Amazon large aquarium which can be seen from a tunnel with a total length of 6m. The mixed swimming of 100 species from 2m to the guppies is a masterpiece. On the site of five Tokyo Dome, there are also "fishing ponds" and "grubby ponds" that can be enjoyed by parents and children, "water squares" that can be played for free, and "direct sales shops" that handle maternity vegetables. In addition, many other events of craft and cooking classes are held on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

Nasu Shrine

A majestic shrine standing in a cedar-lined tree near the border with the Kuroha district of Otawara. It is transmitted with the founding of the time of Emperor Nintoku (4th century). Akadomon is impressive, and it is said that the Sakaue Tamura, Genshiya and Yoichi Nasu also visited in the battle battle prayer. The tachi of the shabao was dedicated by Yoichi. In September every year, at the annual festival of Respect for the Elderly, a horse is held after Yoichi, who is known as a master of bows.

The onsen facilities of the Nasu Shiobara Municipal Corporation, which stands along the Naka River, which flows through the Itamuro onsen town. When you enter the hall, there is a large hall with more than 100 tatami mats on your right, a dining room, a health room where you can receive a massage, and a bathroom at the back. The large bathhouse is equipped with jacuzzi and sleeping baths, while one of the large rock-stacked open-air baths has a thick leash lowered, and the traditional bathing style "Ninoyu" of Itamuro Onsen, which enters while hanging over a waist-deep bathtub, is also provided. The bathhouse is a gender change on a weekly basis.

Nasu Fishland

In mid-to late July, along the Naka River, where natural fireflies native to the premises fly, there will be a family zone, a lure zone, a trout fishing area, and an all-weather charcoal fire barbecue area that can be used empty-handed from 1500 yen per person to 2000 yen per hour.

Swamp field

A moor surrounded by old-growth forest located at an altitude of 1200m, at the southwestern foot of Mount Nasudake. You can go around the moor along the wooden path, and the four-season sub-alpine plants, such as spring zazen, summer nicktoe, and autumn gentian, will delight your eyes. Hiking trails to Santogoya Onsen are also provided. Take one hour.

Maiden Falls

A waterfall with a 10m head in which water from Mt. Shirasasa flows down to the Sawana River. It is said that the origin of the name is because the falling waterfall reminds the girl's hair, or because a beautiful girl was washing her hair here. The fresh green and autumn leaves are particularly beautiful, and you can enjoy the negative ions and the breath of nature that exudes from the waterfall. Due to natural disasters, it is not possible to approach the waterhole as of August 2022.

Chus

A complex where marche, dining and guest houses became one. In Marche, you can buy Nasu's rich ingredients and processed products. Especially recommended is "Butter Cousin" (756 yen), a sweet made by joint development between Chus and "Forest Ranch" in Nasu. Perfect for souvenirs because you can only buy it here. In the dining room, everyone surrounds a large table and you can enjoy plenty of Nasu food. The event is also held on a regular basis, and it serves as an exchange for people visiting Kuroiso. I am glad that it is a reasonable price of 3700 yen per person per night in the guesthouse.

Nakagawa Onsen Minayokinoyu

A hot spring facility that stands along the prefectural road led by an information sign from National Route 4. The facility's top attraction is its abundant hot water supply of 800 liters per minute, and it is used in a single-sex public bath and open-air bath all at the source. The large baths of stone are slightly larger for women, and are equipped with whirlpool baths, totase and saunas, respectively. The open-air bath with a Tōya-style roof that continues outside is a simple tile-pasted bath. It is a large tub for 20 people at a time, and of course it is full of abundant sources.
