Rich Town Fureai Center

A town-run day-by-day hot spring facility that pulls a rare hot spring where the oil that was sprung up when the oil was drilled is mixed. The skin of the hot water is moist and smooth. Since it is a land of dairy farming, you can also enjoy the hot milk of the hot water, and the local ezo venison and Genghis Khan, which can be eaten at the in-house restaurant.

Sarobetu Moor Center

Guided facility standing at the entrance of Sarobetu Moor. Under the theme of "symbiosis between people and nature", the structure of the moor and the latest natural information can be known throughout the year. A barrier-free wooden path (1km a lap) has been maintained, and you can enjoy the vast scenery and the flora and fauna of the moor in close proximity. Also on display outdoors are peat industrial buildings and dredgers that tell the history of peat mining to the present day.

Palace Tower Observation Deck

If you go up to the observation deck on a small hill, you can see the majestic view of the Sarobetu Wilderness in front of you, and on a clear day you can also see the well-appointed figure of Mount Rishiri.

Sarobetu Moor

One of the country's leading great moors, boasting an area of 6700ha. A clear view point where you can see the majestic Mount Rishiri over the horizon. More than 100 kinds of flowers bloom one after another from May to September, and from the end of June to the beginning of July. A wooden path of 1km around is also available in a wheelchair. It is recommended to check out recent nature information at Sarobetu Moor Center and then take a walk. You can enjoy autumn leaves in autumn and snowshoes in winter.

Road Station Shio

Roadside station, near the mouth of the Teshio River, along Route 232. The building with a brick exterior is a warm structure with a lot of wood inside the building with a stand and a restaurant. At the concession shop, there are many well-known sijimi-related products, such as frozen shijimi-yasami-jimi sweet and spicy miso, as well as processed products using salmon, octopus and other products and dairy products such as pudding and ice cream. "Shijimi tide ramen" and "Hokki curry" are popular in restaurants. There are sightseeing spots in the surrounding area such as "Teshio Onsen Yuei", "Teshio River Historical Museum" and "Kawaguchi Site".

Roadside Station ☆ Roman Road Shosanbetsu

The entire "Misakidai Park", the largest tourist spot in Hatsuyama-dōtōmura, is a roadside station. There are various facilities in the park, including the "Shosanbetsu Observatory", as well as the "Cape Center" and the Auto Campground, which are equipped with the "Cape Noyu" and "Cosmic Inn (Space Hall)". There are also "Polar Star", which has a direct-sale shop and restaurant that sells specialty products such as lotus cup juice and jam, and "Rest House Totobi", which has a very popular barbecue of local puffer fish and octopus. In late June-early July, the "star festival", where astronomical observations can be made at the observatory, and in early August every year, the "cape festival", which has a fireworks display and a song show, is held. The view of the Sea of Japan from the park is also wonderful.

Rishiri Fuji Hot Spring Recreation Facility

About 20 minutes on foot from the port. It is a day-trip hot spring facility where you can take a bath in the Rishiri Fuji hot springs that spring from the foot of Rishiri Fuji, and there are many people who come from outside the road, not to mention local people, such as climbers, and it is used by about 30,000 people a year. It features an open-air bath with a view of Rishiri Fuji, a natural hot spring tub (inner bath), a jacuzzi, and a sauna, and there is also a foot bath next to the adjacent full-scale hot spring pool "Yoyuyukan". There is also a primeval forest right next to it, and you can enjoy a walk in the forest.

Sunset Hill Observation Deck

The observation deck, which is said to be a place of sunset. Mount Rishiri and the sea are soaked in orange, is an eye-opening beauty. From the observation deck at an altitude of 56m, you can see Mount Rishiri and Rebun Island in a 360-degree panorama.

Mount Rishiri (Rishiri Fuji)

Mount Rishiri, at an altitude of 1721m, which seems to rise directly from the sea, is nicknamed "Rishiri Fuji" by its beautiful mountain name. It is also a treasure trove of alpine plants, and rare varieties are also found. There are two climbing routes, Oshi-Dōmari and Kutsugata [Kutsugata], and an average of six hours or so in a full-scale climb to the summit. The view from the summit is spectacular, but there are also male figures rising in the background of Himenuma, Otatomari Swamp, etc.

Cape Pesci

The thick cape at an altitude of 93m, which looks like the back of a gorilla, is well visible from the ferry. The top is an observation deck, and you can see the port of Minomari below your eyes, Rebun Island and Wakkanai beyond the sea.
