Road Station Ai Land Spring

It is located on the high ground of National Route 238, which runs along the southern shore of Lake Saroma, and is a prized amusement park Family Ai Land YOU in Doto, as well as Leisure Land with Ikoi Forest with a well-maintained promenade. It is also a roadside station and is valuable as a break and lunch spot. One of the boasts of many dishes that can be tasted at Saiko Lake, a restaurant overlooking Lake Saroma. It uses many local ingredients such as scallops representing Lake Saroma.

Roadside Station Kami Yubetsu Onsen Tulip no Uto

120 species A roadside station near "Tulip Park" with more than 1 million tulips in bloom. Inside the station building, there is a one-day hot spring facility "Tulip no Uto", and you can enjoy soft-textured hot water with a weak alkaline shape, which is also called beautiful hot water in inner hot water and an open-air bath. The restaurant "Chu-Rip" has a rich menu using local ingredients. Among them, scallop curry and Yubetsu beef steak set meal are recommended. Confectionery made from tulips is also sold at the stand. Also adjacent is the "Cultural Center TOM" and the "Zhongwunde Railway Museum", which are attached to the Museum of Manga, which displays works by prominent cartoonists and patronized tools.

Hokatsu Water Sales Store

It is located along Route 238, a direct sale of a fish company. In addition to scallops from Lake Saroma, there are many seafood processed seafood products from the Sea of Okhotsk, such as hairy crabs, salmon, and shellfish. At the food corner of the facility, you can eat scallop burger 480 yen with three large scallops fries and scallop curry 700 yen.

Road Station Saloma Lake

Road station located along Route 238 facing Lake Saroma. It plays the role of a tourist base facility along the coast of Okhotsk, and in the building, which is based on the image of a cattle barn and a silo, there are special products such as scallops and pumpkins from Lake Saroma. At the fast food corner, menus such as 500 yen of scallop curry with scallops from Lake Saroma and 500 yen of two scallops hamayaki, where you can taste the charcoal-grilled scallops on the spot, are popular. The surrounding area includes an experience plantation, a petureai ranch, a forest square and a dog park, which can be enjoyed as an entertainment venue.

Lake Saroma Observation Deck

Lake Saroma, with a circumference of about 90km, is a large lake that spans three towns: Jōrocho, Saroma, and Tōteki, Kitami. It is separated from the Sea of Okhotsk by an elongated sandbar extending to about 20km. Located on the south side of the lake, the Saloma Lake Observation Deck, near the peak of Mount Horo Rock, is a rare viewing spot where you can see the full view of the vast lake. The summit can be reached by car, but the mountain trail has two routes, one on the east and one on the west, and the observation deck is about an hour. No night lighting. Winter closure.

Cape Kim Anep

A headland that projects small into the lake, east-south of Saroma Lake. There is a campsite at the tip, and in the nearby area, many native plants such as the hamanas in June, the sendaihagi, the irises and the coral grass in autumn bloom, and a group of swans that flew in as winter approached. It is also a great viewing point overlooking Lake Saroma, especially when the sunset is soaked.

Saloma Lake Wacka Nature Center

The facility is built at the entrance of the Longgong Highway (also known as Wakka Primeval Garden). In the hall, we will introduce the native plants of Wakka and the surrounding nature in a panel display in an easy-to-understand manner. It also accepts rent-to-rent (one-person, one-day junior high school students for over 650 yen, elementary school students for up to 320 yen), which is perfect for strolling along the promenade of the native flower garden.

Saloma Lake Wakka Primeval Garden (Dragon Palace Road)

Lake Saroma Wakka Primeval Garden, whose elongated sandwater on the eastern side demarcating the Sea of Okhotsk and Lake Saroma, leaving a slight opening, is also called the Dragon Palace Road. It is a coastal grassland with a width of 200 to 700m, a length of about 20km and an area of about 700ha, and is one of the largest native flower gardens in Japan, which is also designated as a Hokkaido heritage site. More than 300 colorful flowers, such as the hammernas, the lily, and the sendaihagi, bloom all over from June to August. Cars are not allowed to enter the park for nature protection, but the Saroma Lake Waka Nature Center is set up at the base of the east side, and some areas are equipped with about 4km of promenade, so you can enjoy nature rotations.

Saloma Lake

Saloma Lake A brackish water lake with a circumference of about 91km, separated from the Sea of Okhotsk by a long sandbar of about 20km known as Wakka Wilderness Garden (also known as the Dragon Palace Road). It spans the three towns of Kitami City, Saruma Town, and Yude Town, and is the largest lake in Hokkaido, and the third largest lake in Japan after Lake Biwa and Kasumigaura, and its unique beautiful blue lake surface is called "Saroman Blue". The area around the lake is dotted with spots such as roadside stations, observation decks, and campsites, but the base for sightseeing is Eiura, Jōrocho, Kitami City, on the eastern shore, and the sunset from the shore here is wonderful.
