"Lakeside Park Noro" is a marine recreational facility facing Lake Notori [Noroko]. Park golf is available from early May to October, and campsites are opened from June to September (auto campsites, free tent sites, etc.). In addition, in Lake Notori around the park, from April 15 to July 15, you can enjoy clamming of clams free of charge in the area where the Nishi-Abashiri Fishing Co. In the case of clamming clams and using peeling tools such as rakes (within 20cm in width and within 50cm in length), it is necessary to participate in the "fishing field cultivating business" carried out by the West Abashiri Fishing Co-op, which has open fishing grounds.

Uharanai coral grass fabric

The best coral grass in Japan spread on the shores of Lake Notori. In mid-September, the landscape is as if the branches were dyed red and laid with bright red rugs. As a colony of coral grass, Cape Kim Anep in Lake Saroma is also famous. In recent years, construction work to improve the environment has backfired, and the size of the population has temporarily reduced to less than 10% of the peak period, but after that, regeneration activities have been fruitful and have now recovered by more than 80%.

On the east side of Lake Noto, it is known as a spot of sunset and starry sky. The area is composed of 40-50m high cliffs, and is also famous as a location for movies and commercials. In winter, drift ice is bereft.

Lake Notori

In the deepest part of the southern lake, there is a community of one of Hokkaido's best coral grasses. This is an annual plant of the family Rampaceae, which is about 10cm tall and has only a stem. In September, the fall-leafed coral grass stains the entire marshy area of the lakeshore.

Hotel Abashikusang

This hotel is located on the shores of Lake Abashiri and accepts day bathing. The large bathhouse "Hairamaguchi" draws natural hot springs and is complete with an open-air bath and a sauna. Day bathing is open until 22:00 (21 am reception), but in the case of accommodation, you can take a bath overnight until 9 am the next morning after check-in. The lake-side room has a large design and is prepared from a minimum of 48 square meters of Japanese and Western rooms. For dinner, a special Japanese meal using Okhotsk-specific ingredients will be offered at the meal.
