Road Station Papasland Sappu

It is located halfway between Shiretoko and Akan, and is located at the front of the facility by a roadside station where Hidemine and Mt. Kiyosato Shochu Brewery

A shochu brewery that brews potato shochu using potatoes, a specialty of Kiyosato-cho, and underground water from Mount Shari. Potato shochu, which is characterized by soft flavor and sweetness, was born in 1979. It currently brews "Hokkaido Kiyosato" and "Hokkaido Kiyosato <5 Years of Sake". The tour will show equipment used for manufacturing through glass from the tour aisle, as well as introducing the manufacturing process with panels and footage. During the potato harvest season, the brewing season is from September to November, so check the tour by phone or official site in advance. Purchase is at the adjacent "Kiyoto Information Exchange Facility Kiyokuru" where you can sample shochu.

Back Mashu Observation Deck

The Anamba-like observatory, located northeast of Lake Mashu, at the border between the towns of Nakashitsu and Kiyosato [Kiyosato]. It is said that the altitude is lower than that of the first and third observation decks, and it is located on the north side of the lake, so even in the summer area where fog is easy to appear, the probability of seeing the lake surface is higher than that of other observation decks.

Child of God Pond

A small pond with a circumference of only 220m, located about 3km north of the back Mashu Lookout. Clear water changes to emerald green or pale blue depending on the weather. It is honored as "a gift from God" and is said to have been named "God's Child Pond".

Bear's hot water

A communal free open-air bath built on the banks of the river Rashus, close to the source. A dressing room and a bath are provided for each man and woman, so you can relax and enjoy the secret. It is also for the lives of local residents, so be careful about manners such as kakyu. Also, since the temperature of the hot water is set to heat, it is necessary to be careful when bathing. Fundamental, free, but there is a donation box set up as a cooperation fund because the bear-no-yō party is spending the maintenance fee.

Shiretoko Raju Visitor Center

The "sea", "mountain" and "river" ecosystems and their connections in the World Natural Heritage-listed Shiretoko, with taxidermy of sea and brown bears and skeletal specimens of orcas, commentary panel, introduced in an easy-to-understand manner by displaying images such as "Shiretoko and the Four Seasons of Rausu" shot in high-definition. The information counter also provides information on surrounding nature information and usage information on sidewalks, campsites, etc. from time to time.

The geyser in the Raxu

A natural monument designated by Hokkaido, located near the Raju Visitor Center. It erupted in 1962. Although there is no momentum at that time, it is still possible to see how 5-6m of hot water is blown up once every hour.

Seseki Hot Springs

Hot springs on the shoreline of Nemuro Strait that appear only at low tide. Bathing while looking at the ocean that spreads in front of you, it seems as if you are immersed in a hot spring in the sea. It is managed by a fisherman at a kelp shop, so it is good manners to spend one call to take a bath. Undressing room, no street lights.

Aiomari Onsen

It is on the edge of the coast, which will be the final point of the Shiretoko Peninsula where you can drive in, and a hot spring springs up from among the pebbles at the bottom of the water pot. A good location where the island of Kunashira can be seen across the sea in fine weather. A simple shed can be hung depending on the time of year, but if it breaks in high waves, it may not be allowed temporarily, so check.

Rausu Fishing Co-operative, Hainan Workshop

A goods sales office adjacent to the roadside station Shiretoko/Rause. There are plenty of original products using kelp, such as Konbu tea 411 yen, which can be made just by pouring hot water, and Karasu kelp ramen, 260 yen per meal. In addition, they also sell seafood that can be found in the coastal waters such as Madara and Hockey. All fresh fish are market value, but none are priced.
