Road Station Rural Village

A road station that stands at the gateway of the high-rise moor "Rain Dragon Moor", in a Ramsar Register wetland. The "Uryunuma Nature Museum", which is right facing the front, presents photographs such as majestic views of the moors and precious flora and fauna, centered on photographs taken by photographers living in the town. On the left, the "Special Products Direct Sale Facility" sells sweets and liquor made from one of Hokkaido's leading locally-sourced Uryu rice and rice. It is a popular facility that also handles fresh vegetables and cut flowers harvested that day. The take-out corner is also substantial, and it is well received when you can enjoy a variety of flavors such as "Uryu rice ice cream" with rice grains on board and "Uryu rice fried kamaboko" which can be fried after receiving an order.

The "Kaeki Centennial Monument", which has the largest swing bell in the country at the top of the tower, is a landmark road station. Vegetables produced by local farmers are lined up in the "Speciality Exhibition Museum" and "Yasai-kan", with tomato juice "Akazukin-chan" and a castella "Day" with broccoli powder, which is a specialty of Chibudo, recommended for souvenirs. A relaxation facility, "Chihibudo Onsen Chipu Yu & Yu", which also includes day bathing and accommodation facilities, is also popular. You can enjoy a variety of bathtubs and saunas.

Road Station Tsurunuma

Roadside station near "Tsurunuma Park" on the outskirts of Urasu. It is located approximately in the center of Route 275. "Tanuki soba" from "Botantei" and the low-calorie "soy milk soft ice cream" sold in "Healthy Food Products" were well received. In addition, “Ikiiki Tofu”, “Atsuage”, and “Ezojica Sausage”, which use local ingredients, are also gaining in popularity.

Mabu Auto Campground

The auto campsite is located on a high ground overlooking the city of Fukagawa. There is a car site with power supply and water and sewerage on site, as well as a clean barbecue house. The center house is equipped with stands, showers and laundry for long stays.

Road Station Rice Land Fukagawa

A roadside station called a rice theme park inspired by the rice town of Fukagawa. The facility has a rice milling experience corner, a rice quiz and game corner where you can learn about rice while playing, and gourmet food such as rice balls specialty shops and rice flour cafes. You can't miss "Taste Shirube Station", where you can taste rice rice using seasonal ingredients. A variety of varieties of rice from Fukagawa are lined up at the produce shop, and they are sticking to local products, from fresh vegetables and fruits to processed products using Fukagawa pork. The event is held every autumn to coincide with the time of the new rice.

Takigawa Art and Natural History Museum

The museum with its Natural History and Fine Arts departments. The various skeletal specimens, including dinosaurs, are a permanent 39. Among them, giant skeletal specimens such as Tyrannosaurus, Protoceratops, and mammoths, in addition to the Takikawa Kagyu, whose fossils were found from the Sorachi River bed, are impressive. You can also admire the works of Hidetoshi Iwabashi, a Japanese painter who is related to the local area. There is also a children's science theater that can be enjoyed by families.

Utonai Lake

A freshwater lake about 9km around, located inside the Yufutsu [Yufutsu] wilderness. The moors and forests spread along the lakefront are a treasure trove of wild birds, and were designated as the first sanctuary in Japan in 1981. Of the approximately 630 species of wild birds confirmed in Japan, approximately 270 species have been recorded. At the nature center in the sanctuary (fee: free, time: 9:30 to 16:30, open only on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays), we also rent binoculars (500 yen outside use). There is also the Lake Utonai Wildlife and Animal Protection Center (joint management of the Ministry of the Environment and the city of Tomakomai, telephone: 0144-58-2231), which is similarly equipped with exhibition facilities.

Auto Resort Tomakomai Alten

The environment surrounded by vast grounds and rich nature at the largest auto campsite in Hokkaido. There are plenty of activities such as park golf and canoeing. There are also cottages such as log houses, so camping beginners are safe. Relax & refresh at the adjacent one-day hot spring facility "Yuno no oyu". Cottages such as power supply sites and log houses have a Wi-Fi environment, and you can enjoy a leisurely outdoor life while using it for work.

Amuse Sports

You can enjoy Canadian canoeing on the Bibigawa River, which runs right next to New Chitose Airport. Your guide provides lectures and support, so you can experience it for beginners and children. There is also a free transfer to New Chitose Airport and JR Minami Chitose Station, so feel free to contact us.
