Earth Celebration 2024

Set in the rich nature of Sado, a music festival that connects the world by the Taiko performing arts group Kodo and Sado City. In the main event, outdoor concert, Kodo and artists from Japan and abroad can perform and enjoy music dancing in the heart for three consecutive days. Kodo OB members from home participate, and overseas guests are NAKIBEMBE EMBAIRE GROUP, which is Japan's first landing from Uganda in East Africa. Don't miss the cross-border stage woven by a giant xylophone-beating-spawned ensemble and Kodo. In addition, a workshop of performing arts and drums, and a mini-concert at Shiroyama are also held. Festival River Segaki in Chiyoda

It is a traditional event that is said to have started in the Meiji period, and the lights of the lampage sink are reflected on the river surface, while fireworks are set off in the night sky, and the fireworks on the way to the Tone River are met.

West Horse Onai Bon Dance

Traditional events started for good harvests and for the sake of serving in the Bon Festival. The dancers, who are dressed in beautiful piece-stitched costumes, wearing a deep hat and kikasa, reminiscent of the deceased, dance a summer evening gracefully. The 44th Hachinohe Fireworks Festival

The wind poem of Hachinohe's summer. The appearance of about 6000 (planned) star mines, fireworks, and big balls being launched in the back of Hachinohe Port, and the appearance of the large ring in the night sky and on the sea surface is a masterpiece.

2024 Takasaki Summer Festival

The fireworks display of "Takasaki-cho, a beautiful city with a starry sky" is very close to the viewing place and the launch place, so you can enjoy the powerful fireworks.

Tara Summer Festival Seaside Fireworks Festival

Colorful fireworks, one of the largest in the prefecture, will enliven the finale of the summer festival at the port of Tabira. It will be launched from the breakwater at the port of Tabira and will be able to admire the Hirado Bridge in the back.

Wind Town Festival

It has a tradition of about 300 years at a function to quell the wind and wish for a good harvest. There will be a townshow dance to Fuzhen Samba and Takamori Ontodo, as well as the festival's centerpiece, "Tsukimono", and Manzai's "Niwaka". The finale of the festival is the old-fashioned yukashiki "Saitoba". "Niwaka" is designated as a National Intangible Folk Cultural Property.

The 44th Tosa City Daozuna Festival

The men, stripped of their brittle skin, pull in a paper awash that is divided into a north-south and weighs about one ton in total length by 80m. Roughly 500 people will participate. There are also others such as Naruko Odori and Throw Cakes.

Lantern Sink

It takes place from just before Tsuwano Bridge. Some 850 red, yellow and yellow-green lanterns flow through the riverbed, leading the visitors to the world of Yugen and marking the end of the summer festival in Tsuwano. Image courtesy of Tsuwano Town Tourism Association
