The 40th Reiyama Taiko Festival

The 43rd Shikabe Sea and Onsen Festival & Fireworks Festival

The largest event in Shikabe, held every year on the third Saturday of August. With a variety of contents such as the contact aquarium, cutter competition, smoke experience by the Shikabe Fire Station, bingo competitions, and stage shows, it is a festival that can be enjoyed by children and the elderly, and it is full of people every year. During a fireworks display that boasts the festival's highlight, Donan-ichi, a large ring of lights will dye the eruption bay.

The 66th Kawauchi River Fireworks Festival for the 20th Anniversary of Satsuma Kawauchi City

Each program has its own personality, such as launching rapid-fire fireworks and firing fireworks at the same time, or launching a combination of big and small balls. Among them, the huge Niagara (1000m) that crosses the Kawauchi River that flows through the city center, one of the three major rivers in Kyushu, is stunning. Yamaga Lantern Festival

One of the three major fire festivals in the summer of Kumamoto is the night festival where the lights of lanterns shake in the darkness. Beginning with the decoration of the votive lanterns on the 15th, in accordance with the graceful Yohoho on the 16th, it culminated in a glazed "Senjin Lanterns Dance" by the women with the lanterns with the lights on their heads, and the finale with the rising lanterns.

Shiraishi Dance
