Undersea Road Park

It is located near the middle of the undersea road, and is home to the promenade and the sea station Ayahashi-kan.

Undersea road

A road with a total length of 4.7km. It is laid by a bank in a very shallow sea area, and this kind of road is said to be the largest length in the East. Until the road was established in 1972, trucks ran over the sea at low tide and some people walked across it. A remote sea spreads on both sides, and it is popular as a driving course. In the middle of the road there is a road park complete with showers and toilets, where you can enjoy swimming in the sea and marine sports. The marine station, Ayahashi-kan, sells specialty products of the city. On the second floor, the Museum of Culture of the Sea displays historical and folk materials, including the Marlan ship.

Nuchimas Tourism Salt Factory

The salt factory of the natural sea salt "Nuchi-masu"; a factory tour where you can learn about salt; other hand-esthetic experience of the directly managed shop limited products massage salt (free) and dining on the terrace where you can see the sea are also very popular. There are also excellent views and power spots.

Miyagi Island

An island connected by a bridge to the island of Heianza, where it is interesting to get out of the car and take a walk, as the old-fashioned settlement remains.

Heianza Island

It is located across the Undersea Road, and an island of junction-like existence from here access to Hamahika Island, which is located to the south, Miyagi Island, and Ijo Island, which is located to the east. Originally a small island, the sea to and from Miyagi Island has now been reclaimed and the Okinawa Oil Station has spread. On the roughly 2km run to Miyagi-jima, you can enjoy "Hiramiya Gesan Art" painted on the sea wall by elementary and junior high school students in Uruma.

Hamahika Island

The Hamahika Bridge spans between the island and the island of Heianza, and can be crossed over land from the main island. There are two settlements, Hama and Higa, with a red-tiled-roofed private house and a stone wall, reminiscent of the original Okinawan landscape. It is considered to be a place related to the goddess Amamikiyo and the god of God, the god of God, and the tomb of Amamichu and the Sil Michu sacred place remain.

Nakahara Site, Ikokoshima

Of the four islands that can be reached across the undersea road, the most offshore island of Imokō. The distance from the main island is about 10km, so the sea water is highly transparent, and the summer is crowded with customers who enjoy swimming and barbecue. In contrast, the area near the center of the island is an idyllic atmosphere with fields of leaf tobacco spread all over, among which is the Nakabara ruins (free to visit) of the Jōmon period. Earthenware jars and stone axes, bones of beasts and fish, and shells are excavated from the ruins. It is said to be the site of a pit-type house, one of the largest in Okinawa, and several buildings have been restored and opened to the public. The stone ax-shaped monument at the entrance is also impressive. Country Designated Historic Site.

Imeter Island

It is also called Ichihanari because it is the farthest from the main island. There are beautiful beaches such as Izat Beach and Odomari Beach, so it is perfect for enjoying marine sports.
