The first class park

A famous spot for cherry blossoms as the first-class Yamazakura. It is located on the middle of the mountain and has a wonderful view of Lake Biwa. The tree species are Yamazakura, and the Yoshino cherry tree.

Karabashi at Seta

A bridge known for the Omi-Hakkei "Seta no Yushoku [sekisho]", which is painted inside a ukiyo-e print by Utagawa Hiroshige. Since ancient times, it has played the role of a gateway entering Kyoto from the East, and since it was a military and traffic hub, it has a history of being burned down many times. The current bridge was completed in 1979, and the old bridge's false jewel [Giboshi] is attached to the parapet, leaving a look of the old days.

Nango Onsen Futaba

Nango Onsen Futabaya facing Seiryu and Seta River. The bathhouse with a view that draws natural radium hot springs and allows day bathing, is full of open and pleasant. It is located near Ishiyama-ji Temple, the birthplace of the Tale of Genji, and is famous for its boiled carp and washing. You can also taste seasonal peasants (reservations required).

Seta River and Lake Biwa River Cruise

A restored steamboat from the Meiji period, cruising along the shores of Lake Biwa and the Seta River, with an on-board guide, around famous places such as Seta's Karabashi and Ishiyama-ji, where the Murasaki Shikibu is said to have worked out the concept of the "Tale of Genji".

Ishiyama Temple

A famous temple opened by Ryoben [Robe Ben] Monksho in Tenpyo 19 (747). In the precincts where the gray stone [Kei Kaiseki] (natural monument) is exposed, the main hall (national treasure) where the main temple of the Buddha's Buddha (secret Buddha and important cultural property) is enshrined, and the Tahoto (national treasure) where Minamoto no Yoritomo donated in 1194, it is lined with Dōu, such as Tōdaimon (Important Cultural Property) of Irimoya, which was rebuilt during the Momoyama period. There is a line between the Genji in the main hall where Murasaki Shikibu wrote the "Tale of Genji".

Kiho Town Sea Turtle Park

In 1988, the "Sea Turtle Protection Ordinance" took effect in Kiho-cho. This is the base of sea turtle conservation activities. There are three buildings in the park: a museum, a sea turtle pool, and a roadside station. In the sea turtle pool, you can observe the turtles swimming. There is also a touching pool popular with children. Loggerhead turtles come ashore from the end of May to the end of August each year to the Ida coast near Shinomiya in Shichiri-Mihama for spawning.

Road Station Park Shichiri Mihama

The station on the road where the beautiful coastline continues, is located in front of Shichiri Mihama. At the third-floor restaurant, "Feast Dining by Tsujisanjie", fish dishes taken from Kumanonada and local foods "Mehari Sushi" and "Sanma Sushi" are popular. There is also a tangerine juice factory, and it is possible to tour during the season when tangerines are picked. The company sells juice squeezed from its own factory at a product store.

Yumen Sanso Yunoguchi Onsen

Yunoguchi Onsen, which is popular as Kumano's secret water. The scents of trees using Kumano cedar The hot spring building includes inner baths, open-air baths, and standing baths. Or, as they also have accommodation facilities such as bungalows and lodges, many people enjoy the hot springs leisurely while staying. It is recommended to take the Torokko train from Hotel Tororyu-so. There is a set ticket for a trolley train and a bath (880 yen).

Irika Onsen Hotel Toro Ryuso

An accommodation facility located in the mountains close to Torokyo, Iruka Onsen Hotel "Yasuragi no Yu", a modern hot spring facility attached to Tororuruso, is capable of day bathing. It has an inner bath, an open-air bath, a sauna, and a full view of the Kitayama River from the open-air bath.

Torocco Train

Torocco, an abandoned Kishu mine, connects about 1km between Iruka Onsen Hotel Tororiruso and Yunoguchi Onsen in 10 minutes. The trolley remains old, the power source is the battery, and the seat is just a cushion over the board. It runs in a five-car linkage of one-car, eight-seater. The sound is noisy because it runs on the mine shaft, but it is popular with nostalgia.
