Ise Hondo Road

Ise Hondo was an important road connecting Yamato and Ise since the Atori period. During the post-Edo period, many travelers came and went because it was the shortest course through Nara and Haibara to Ise, but many of them were also feared by travelers as well as many steep mountain roads. In this way, along the highway, there are still a line of houses and signposts to remember the image of the time. It is a wonderful landscape, such as being certified as the Hundred Roads of Japan and the Hundred Roads of Japan.
