Kujina Temple

A temple of the Jodo sect founded by Nitta Yoshisada [Nita Yoshisada] in the third year of Kenbu (1336) to mourn the dead of the Kamakura attacks. The flat amounts of the "Uai-Nai-san" [Dairi-san] and "Kyōshū-ji", which are posted in the Yamamon and the main hall, are copies of those written by Yoshisada. It is the only temple in Kamakura related to Nitta Yoshisada.

Anyang-in

It is famous as a famous place of azalea in Kamakura. The predecessor was Chōraku-ji Temple, which was erected in Hōya by Masako Hojo to mourn the Bodhisattva of Yoritomo, but was destroyed by the fire in Motohiro 3 (1333) and moved to the current location, and the name of the temple was also changed to Anyōin from Masako's legal name. In the precincts, there is a giant tree of Maki, which is more than 700 years old, the tomb of Masako, and the treasure stamp tower [Broom Shointo], which is the oldest treasure stamp tower in Kamakura city. Ankokuson Temple

An ancient temple that Nichiren Saint wrote the "Rissho-an-kokuson", which he submitted to the former chief of the Imperial Court, Hōjō Tokiyori, in the first year of Bunyo (1260), at Gōho-kutsu, located on the hillside of the precinct. It is also said that Nichiren connected Soan here to serve as a base for missionary work. The precincts include the main hall and the Goshōan, and the Nanmen Grottoes (Nanmenkutsu), which were evacuated during the burning-down law by the anti-Nichiren sect. It is said to have taken root by Nichiren's cane, which is a natural monument in the city, and the myoho cherry blossoms and sazanka.

Timber Seas Coast

During the Kamakura period, it was crowded with the loading and unloading of lumber. Also, Waga-e-jima [Wakae-no-shima], in the southeastern part of the coast of Zikuza, is the site of the oldest surviving Japanese town of Tsukikō, which is usually washed by the waves, but at low tide, Nakasu, piled with cobbles, appears.

Toshima-ya Kita-Kamakura Ekimae

It uses fine-quality red beans from Tokatsu, Hokkaido, and is finished with a refreshing sweetness. It is good to make a reservation because it often sells out. Chrysanthemum is also popular for 216 yen.

Longhua tree

Katsuhara Oka, Daibutsu Hiking Course

About 10 minutes from JR Kita-Kamakura Station to Joji-ji Temple. A hiking trail starts from the side road of Yamamon, about 20 minutes to Kuzuharaoka Shrine. If you go further, you will find the Genjizan Park, famous as a cherry blossom spot, from which there is a 45-minute updown to Kotoku-in (Kamakura Daibutsu). About 3km and journey time about 1 hour and 10 minutes.
