Genji Botaru no Sato

The Yamada area of Isumi City is the habitat of fireflies called Genji Botaru no Sato. In particular, at each point of the Yamada River in the area from the former Rice Center to the Yamada Five-Kumin Center, you can see the group dance of the genji firefly, and it is said that it is often seen on a humid night with cloudy and no wind. It is difficult to understand because it is surrounded by rice fields, but it is easy to reach during the season because information is available.

Museum of the sea, Chiba Prefectural Central Museum Branch

A branch of Chiba Prefectural Central Museum. It is adjacent to the Katsuura Kaitaka Park and showcases the sea nature of the Boso Peninsula. Katsuura Undersea Park Undersea Observation Tower

Undersea observation tower at a position of 60m offshore. The Rias Coast, which continues over about 2km.
