Hand-baked rice crackers Edoya

Manufactures and sells hand-baked rice crackers. Popular is hand-baked rice cracker "Bokakaki". One by one, carefully baked, is purposely bumped (split), attached to the sauce, and dried-finished rice crackers. It also fits the liquor knobs. In addition, there are the most popular products, such as the Honmonyori, the Shimotare (pickled soy sauce or the Waraka Senbei), the zarame senbei "fuka", the luxury nori arare, and the popular product "Honmonyori".

Yoshino Sake Brewery

Founded in the first year of Tempo (1830), the brewery known for its "kokokoi" built by the skilled Nanbu Toji clan of Iwate. There are more than 20 kinds of sake, including Daiginjo, which won consecutive prizes at the National Sake Book Review and won the 2018 Gold Prize. From the main house to the store, the sake brewery has been designated as a national registered tangible cultural property, and is also famous as a location for drama.

Tsukudani Omi

150g of tuna kakuni, 150g of bintsu tuna kakuni, and 220g of bonito kakuni, which are also popular as morning-market souvenirs, 1080 yen each is a piece of body cooked overnight with secret sauce and ginger. It is carefully handmade in the production method of "Eshi" without introducing a large pressure kettle.

Spa Dome Aqua Pares (Crescent Sea Park Hotel Katsuura)

A hot bath facility adjacent to the "Crescent Sea Park Hotel Katsuura" which stands along the seafront of Sotobo and Katsuura. The seventh floor is a front and single-sex public bath, and the sixth floor and the rooftop is a spa zone where you can play with bathing suits. The sixth floor is mainly a water-water bath pool, and is lined with hot water baths such as seasonal hot water and bubble baths. On the roof, there is a full range of elaborate bath baths such as the sky-outdoor bath and the garden-style rock bath, and the special feature is its outlook. I can overlook the sea from anywhere and I feel full of openness.

JAXA Katsuura Space Communication Station

National Research and Development Corporation Aerospace Research and Development Agency (JAXA) artificial satellite tracking and control facility. Four Parabona antennas are watching the artificial satellite. The space development exhibition room is lined with hands-on exhibits that can simulate tracking control, as well as scale models of successive rockets and artificial satellites. In addition, there are simulators and computer games where you can experience the mission of the Hayabusa asteroid probe, as well as a video corner on space development, so that both adults and children can learn while feeling closer to the universe.

Cape Hachiman Park

A park that occupies the Cape Yawata area, projecting to the east of Katsuura Bay. The view of the Pacific Ocean is majestic on high ground. Since the three sides of the east, south and west are cliffs approaching the sea, it has been used as a natural hazard since ancient times. At the time of Katsuura Castle, which was located at the edge of the castle, it is also reported that the daughter of the castle owner, Yotada Masaki, who later became a concubine of Tokugawa Ieyasu, escaped from the bluff to the sea with a cloth hanging on the back of the blazing castle. There is a children's square and an observation square in the park, and a statue of everyone stands.

Katsuura morning city

Katsupo morning city with more than 400 years of history. It began in Tensho 19 (1591) when the then Katsuura castle owner, Uemura Tosamori Yasutada, opened a city to exchange agricultural and marine products for industrial promotion. About 50 street stalls stand every day other than Wednesday, and there are a list of fresh seafood and processed goods such as dried fish and shellfish that have been washed up in the Katsuura fishing port, as well as vegetables, fruits and flowers taken by local farmers. The store is around 8-9 o'clock. I'm looking forward to having a conversation with my good-natured aunties. It will be held on the 1st to 15th at Shimohonmachi Street, and on the 16th to the end of the month at Nakahonmachi Street.

Government Forces Mound Observation Deck

An observation deck located 2km northeast of Cape Hachiman Park. A government military mound is the place where, at the end of the Boshin [Boshin] War, a military vessel of the Kumamoto clan bound for the Hakodate Gridgaku buried over 130 people killed when it was wrecked off the coast of Katsuura Kawazu. The view of the Pacific Ocean 180 degrees below the eyes is wonderful. On the site, there is also a monument of Shigeyoshi Saito of "Hikuyama is a small port from a heavy weight and a small port", which is a chant of the beautiful port of Katsuura opened in the middle of the mountain.

Kosho Temple

Located at the edge of Nakamachi Asaichi-dori, the ancient temple of the Nichiren sect, also known as the birthplace of Katsuura Asaichi. On the east side of the precinct, there is a giant tree of ginkgo biloba that is more than a thousand years old in the designated natural monument of the prefecture. The milk column drooping from the branch is more than 2m in length maximum. There are about 60 bottles, and it is reported that the mother's mother is inspired to eliminate the shortage of milk. According to Teraden, a thousand years ago, there was a holy priest who cured a woman suffering from a lack of milk. After the monk's death, the villagers planted a ginkgo on the tomb in remembrance of the monk's virtue, but the ginkgo gave rise to a papyre as it grew, and the efficacy was remarkable for a milkless woman.

Sengashi

A 20m high bluff that lasts about 4km, near Tenzu-Kominato. A memorial tower is erected on a cliff, with the story of a filial lady being left behind. Anecdotes have a theory, and the theory that Osen, who was the daughter of a royal family, tried to convert his rapacious father with his own death. There is a theory that he was killed in the place of his father, who was targeted for his life by an evil representative who wanted to keep his son under himself.
