Chiyoda dam

One of Hokkaido's best salmon trout trapping sites. Every year, during the spawning season from mid-September to late October, a scene is seen in which salmon, which has been running up the Tokatsu River for a long time, are captured by a crane.

Ikeda-cho Grape and Wine Research Institute (Wine Castle)

In a building reminiscent of a European castle, the company researches and manufactures the Jushō wine, which has won numerous awards in international wine competitions. You can freely tour the bottling work in the underground wine-aging yard and factory. There is also a restaurant where you can taste dishes using local ingredients, so you can fully enjoy the taste of Ikeda. There is a shopping area and an exhibition room. Take one hour.

Ten-thousand-year forest

A forest created with the aim of leaving as a great legacy to humanity a thousand years later. Segway tour (9800 yen, travel time 2 hours, reservation required by 17:00 the day before) to enjoy riding a Segway through the grasslands and forests, "Zagaku" and "Cheese making experience" to learn dairy farming in Hokkaido, there is also a "Jikatsu Natural Cheese Making Experience Studio (GW, August)" (3800 yen for adults, 2400 yen for children), where you can enjoy a "meal" where you can bake a pizza with the cheese you made and eat.

Shimizu Maruyama Observation Deck

It is located in a vast ranch, with an excellent view of the Tokatsu Plain. On a clear day of air, you can see up to the mountains of Akan in the distance. The town-run rearing ranch, which extends under your eyes, also became a location for the film The Spoon of Silver.

Tokatsugawa Onsen

The property stands on the banks of the Tokatsu River, and the bath is available for drop-in. There are also cypress baths and tuseyu, but a garden open-air bath is recommended. While looking at the Tokatsu River, I want to slowly soak in the vegetable mall hot springs, which are said to be beautiful skin hot water. In the sauna, you can enjoy the Finnish style "Louryu", the first home of Tokatagawa Onsen.

Juvene Nature Center

Facilities where you can enjoy outdoor sports throughout the year. A variety of menus are available, and from spring to autumn, you can enjoy a mooring flight of a hot air balloon overlooking the majestic Tokatsu Plain for about 5 minutes, 2300 yen, and a SUP stand-up paddle tour at Tokatsu River for 7700 yen (2 hours, 30 minutes). Snowmobile basic course 1100 yen (5 minutes required) in winter. Snow rafting 700 yen (5 minutes required) is popular due to speed and power. All of them are taught by instructors, so it's safe even for the first time. There are some that require advance booking, and the duration and time of the event vary depending on the content, so please contact us in advance.

Hokkaido Prefectural Tokatsu Ecology Park

A park adjacent to the Tokatagawa Onsen district. There is also a cottage and a campsite in the garden where you can experience the nature of the 10 cities such as forests, rivers, and grasslands, and in the fish-way observation room and the Toro-do, you can observe the appearance of salmon on the road from late September to October. To Toro Road, it is recommended via Route 38.

Tokatagawa Onsen Aqua Park

It is a park that uses the vast riverbed of the Tokatsu River, and is familiar as a venue for park golf and early morning hot air balloon experiences, as well as a wintering area where swans fly in the winter (entry may be restricted).
