Couple rock

Along National Route 499, the two rocks that stand close to each other are particularly eye-catching in the marine landscape from Kurohama. A male rock with a height of 12m and a circumference of 24m on the left toward the sea, and a female rock with a height of 11m and a circumference of 26m on the right. It is geologically referred to as the "Nomo-Hanrei-rock complex", and has a generation date of about 480 million years ago, the oldest in Kyushu. The sight of the sunset on the back is fantastic. It was designated as Nagasaki Prefecture's designated Natural Monument in 1994 and Nagasaki Prefecture's "Hundred Views of Nature" in 2013.

Honren Temple

The temple of the Nisshin sect, which can be seen on the right of Nishisaka Park. Formerly a Christian town, the site where this temple stands was once home to the Church of San Joan Bautista and Japan's first leprosy hospital. It is also known as the temple where Katsu Kaishu (Katsukaishu) and Siebold's wife and children, Otaki and Oine, were placed in the house.

Peace Park

A park with a statue of peace prayer by Seibo Kitamura. The statue's high hand holds the threat of the atomic bomb, the horizontally extended hand symbolizes peace, and the closed eyes pray for the war dead. There is a spring of peace in the park, and there are monuments that symbolize peace donated by countries around the world. Part of the wall of the Urakami prison, which was located on this site at the time of the atomic bombing, also remains.

Suwa Shrine

The sōjimigami of Nagasaki, who is known locally as "Suwama-sama". If you go up the 194 stone steps that lead from the Ootorii, you can overlook the city of Nagasaki. The large precinct is unique in that a kappa-like dish is enshrined with a kappa-like dish on its head and a variety of figures such as riding on a ball. In addition, the English-language lottery unique to the international city of Nagasaki is also popular.

Kōfuku-ji Temple

Genwa 6 (1620). It is one of the oldest and one of Nagasaki Mifukuji temples in Japan. The second generation of the priest was Nyosada, who built the eyekira bridge, and it was also the first temple to be entered by the Obaku [Obaku] Sōkōzō and the Kōgen [Ingen] Zen master. The large mountain gate of Sōzhu Danji stands out even in Teramachi Street, which is lined with majestic temples. There are many highlights, such as the Daiyō Hōden (Dōyō-ho-den), which is decorated with brightly colored carvings, and the Tangjin-yōmon (Dōyō-kōyō-kōyō-kōen), and the Nakajima Cathedral, which was dedicated to Confucius.

Shirahama Beach

A swimming beach where you can experience the difference of 6m in the Ariake Sea. Because there are times when you can't swim because of the tide, inquire in advance to the Shirahama Beach or the Tara Town Planning and Commerce Division. You can also check the swimming time on the official site of Tara-cho. The opening period is from mid-July to the end of August. It also borders the JR Kyushu Nagasaki Main Line, and you can see the D & S train Futatsuboshi 4047 from Friday to Monday at 11:44.

Toyodahime Shrine

A shrine that has been revered as the shrine of the temple of the temple since ancient times in the land of Ureshino. The daughter of Kaijin, she enshrines Otohime and Toyotamahime of Ryugai Castle. There is also a company in the precincts that enshrines the white lady, which is said to be the name of Toyodamahime, and it is said that women who wish for beautiful skin visit.

Takashima

A trapezoidal island about 3km around, floating in Karatsu Bay. A 3-minute walk from the port, the Hoto Shrine (precinct free, time: 8-17) is attracting attention. Because of the luck of the name, it is crowded with people who come to worship to win the lottery. There are also places on the island that sell auspicious items and lottery tickets.

Teramachi

A town where temples were collected during the Edo period for the defense of Kurume Castle. It is lined with 17 temples, and still retains the features of the Edo period. In each quaint temple there are tombs of many of the predecessors who were active in Kurume. The most well-known people are King Shishi Takayama Hikokuro, the founder of Kurume mochi, Inoue Den, the founder of Kurume Atsuji, Motozo Sakamoto, and the Western painter Harue Koga.

Suiten Palace

Sōhō-gū of Suiten-gū, which is located throughout the country. The beginning was that Ise, who served Emperor Andoku's birth mother, Takakura Taira Nakamiya [Azechi no Tsuboune], enshrined the spirit of the Heike, who had perished in the Battle of Nōnoura, to mourn. It is known as the guardian deity of asanis, child-giving, water-relief, and children.
