Kuroshima Welcome House

Kuroshima, floating off the southwest coast of the Kitamatsuura Peninsula in Nagasaki Prefecture. A facility that brought together the Kuroshima Tourism Information Center and a direct sales office located in that Kuroshima port. It is a warm, wood-built, one-story facility with a tourist information booth of the Kuroshima Tourist Association and a direct sales booth in the house, which sells tourist information on the island and specialty items of Kuroshima, freshly picked vegetables, seafood and other items. We also rent an electric assist bicycle, so let's use it by all means. We also accept applications for experiences such as walking around the famous places of Kuroshima with a guide on the island, making Kuroshima tofu, and making buns. For details, please contact us.

Kujūku Island Animal and Botanical Garden Mori Kirara

The westernmost point of the mainland, an animal and botanical garden in the West Sea National Park. In a garden blessed with a natural environment, 230 animals of 64 species are displayed, and 9000 plants of 1400 species are planted. Among them, in the rose garden, which boasts one of the largest areas in western Japan, you can enjoy the flowers of roses during the spring and autumn rose season. The country-designated natural monuments, the Tsima cat, as well as cheetahs and giraffes, are also on display. At the Penguin Hall, which has one of the largest (about 80 square meters) ceiling water tanks in Japan, you can observe the appeal of penguins from 360 degrees, such as a shallow water tank (about 5cm) where you can see the soles of penguins.

Kuju Island Aquarium Sea Kirara

A community-based aquarium that showcases the sea creatures of Kujukujima, located within the Parsea Resort. Including a large outdoor water tank with rare sunshine in Japan, such as a simple dolphins, a jellyfish confirmed around Kuju Island, a video, a healing music, and a fantastic production of the jellyfish with light, such as "Krage Symphony Dome", it introduces a full of charm to the living things that breathe on the Kuju Island. In addition, there are plenty of experience menus, such as the pearl ball experience, the kids corner "Children Hiroba Amamoba", and the Kirara program.

Funakoshi Observatory

A barrier-free observation center located about a three-minute drive from the Parsea Resort on Kujukujima, with close views of Kujukujima, and on a day when the weather is nice, you can also see the five islands off the west.

Exhibition Haifeng

It is located on a high ground in the central Tawarakaura Peninsula, a short distance from the Sasebo city area. It is said that the view of Kuju Island from here is one of the best among many observation decks. Of course during the sunny day, but the moment when the sunset falls into the sea is also unspectacular. The silhouettes produced by large and small islands are breathtaking. Another attraction is the flower garden under the observation deck. In late March-early April, it is colored with 150,000 rapeseed plants, and in early-mid-October, 150,000 cosmos, and the flower season is particularly crowded with a large number of people.

Shidake Observation Deck

A vista spot that bisects the popularity of the exhibition sea peak. There is a short distance from the parking lot, but you can enjoy the view of Kujukuju Island, which is full of 360 degrees. Nearby, there is also the Kujukujima Flora Garden.

Kuroshima Shrine

A shrine in Kuroshima, floating off the coast of Sasebo. It is located in Honmura [Honmura], where the port of Kuroshima is located, and the main shrine and the large rock sit down as you go up the long stone steps. A branch of the old shrine, Shishijiki Shrine in Hirado City, the god of the gods enshrines Hirado Matsuura's founder, Minegoro Hiraku, and two other pillars. The name of the company has never been cut down because of the sanctuary, and the stachii, tabunoki and yabuaki are thick, and the Jomon forest is seen. During the prohibitive period, all the islanders were children of the shrine, but it was discovered that the inhabitants of the villages other than Honmura and Furusato did not participate in the shrine's regular festival in 1872, and that the hidden Christian had returned to Catholicism. It was abolished by the Order of the Separation of Buddhas, but was re-founded as a village shrine in 1879.

Catholic Kuroshima Church (Kuroshima Church)

A church located in the "Settlement of Kuroshima", a constituent asset of the World Heritage Site "Hidden Christian Related Heritage of Nagasaki and the Amakusa Region". The first wooden Kuroshima Tenshudo was established in 1879 (Meiji 12). In 1902, a brick stately church in the Romanesque style was completed by devotee fund-giving and dedicated labor services, to the design of Father Marman. It is a three-story church with a depth of 35m and a frontage of 15m, with a beautiful ceiling of the rib vault, a lot of Kuroshima's specialty granite "Kuroshima Mikage", and 1800 pieces of Arita porcelain tiles are laid under the altar, etc. It is built to be appropriate for the National Designated Important Cultural Property.

Hotel Lorelei

Hotel Lorelei is located a 1-minute walk from Huis Ten Bosch Station, where you can take a day bath in a hot spring bath. With large baths and open-air baths with great views, the "Battenoyu" boasts fine spring quality and attentive amenities. You can overlook Huis Ten Bosch from a private family outdoor bath (reservation required).

Yushinzan in the sky

It is possible to take a day bath in the hot springs at the Tokuyama Wangan in the sky, which was produced by the architect Kisho Kurokawa. It was designed under the theme of "harmony with the surrounding environment", and an open-air bath offers sweeping views of the countryside. The large bathhouse, which has an open-air bath, comes in two types: cypress-zukuri and rock-zukuri, which change between the two sexes on a daily basis. There is also a private bath.
