The first wooden Kuroshima Tenshudo was established in 1879 (Meiji 12). In 1902, a brick stately church in the Romanesque style was completed by devotee fund-giving and dedicated labor services, to the design of Father Marman. It is a three-story church with a depth of 35m and a frontage of 15m, with a beautiful ceiling of the rib vault, a lot of Kuroshima's specialty granite "Kuroshima Mikage", and 1800 pieces of Arita porcelain tiles are laid under the altar, etc. It is built to be appropriate for the National Designated Important Cultural Property.
