Matsuoka Saves

Hay Fli slope

Kameyama Shainaka Memorial Hall, Nagasaki City (Kameyama Shainaka Site)

"Kameyama shanaka" is a society known as the first Japanese trading company (1865) founded by Ryoma Sakamoto, who was a rōnin of Tosa with assistance from Satsuma Domain and Nagasaki Merchants, among others. The members include Shishi, who lived through the turbulent period of the late Tokugawa period, such as Kenkichi Nagaoka. A house standing in Kameyama that was used as the base of the activity was Kameyama Yaki Yuyuan. The memorial house has restored and disclosed the building at the site of the Kameyama Shrine in a form closer to its appearance at the time of the Bakumatsu period. In the hall, reprinted boots, crests, pistols, and duplicates of "Kaientai Nisshi" are on display, and the mezzanine (hidden room), which is said to have been hidden by Ryoma, has also been restored.

Seabold Memorial

Seabold, who came to Japan in Bunsei 6 (1823) as a Dutch trading house physician, was a person who contributed to the modernization of Japan by opening the infirmary and school "Narutaki Juku". This is a memorial hall set up next to the site of that Narutaki Juku, which introduces Siebold's life and achievements into six corners. The site of the Seabold house (historic site) is next door. It takes 20 minutes.

Nagasaki Museum of History and Culture

The building of the Nagasaki magistrate Tateyama government office was partially restored and maintained at the same location. It introduces the role of the Nagasaki magistrate and the history of overseas exchange in the early modern Nagasaki through history, art and craft materials, as well as footage. It is on permanent display, including demolition new books and step paintings, as well as medical instruments actually used by Siebold.

Santo Domingo Church Site Museum

A museum on the site of the Sakuramachi Elementary School in Nagasaki City, where the ruins of an early Edo church can be seen. The church of Santo Domingo was built by the Dominican Father Morales. The church of Satsuma was dismantled and relocated to this place when it was relocated from Satsuma, where he had been doing missionary work. After Father Morales was vacated by a prohibitive order, the residence of Nagasaki Daijō Suetsugu Heizo was built on the site of the mangled church. In 2000, at the time of the rebuilding of the elementary school school building, we found the remains of the building of the Daokanyashiki and the church, and more than 120,000 artifacts. At present, in four zones, such as the site zone and the exhibition room zone, you can tour some of the remains such as the stone basement and cobblestones, as well as excavated items such as flower cross tiles and ceramics.

Kameyama Shrine Central Materials Exhibition Center

The museum was relocated near the Wakamiya Inari Shrine. On display are about 150 pieces of material from the fans, including photographs taken by Hikoma Ueno of Shishi at the end of the Tokugawa period, and original copies of the "New Government Platform Eight Measures", which is said to have been the source of the "Goshijō no Oshuben". Renovation work was carried out in March 2018, and the roof, floor and ceiling were repaired, and the area around the front entrance was expanded and barrier-free.
