Daikoin

Gyeongsang 18 (1613) A temple erected by Tokugawa Ieyasu to mourn the Bodhisattva of Nitta Yoshishige [Yoshishige], his ancestor. The elaborate carving of the mountain gate is stunning. When he was welcomed by the first resident priest, Donryūshōnin was known as "Koryūryū-sama" because he nurtured the children of the poor people under the name of his disciples, and many parents and children still visit for worship. Behind the main hall stands the tombs of Yoshishige Nitta and Shuryu Jongjin. It is also well known as the venue for the Kanto Chrysanthemum Tournament, and you can watch the stunning chrysanthemum flowers every year from October 25 to November 25. Free.
