Tomihiro Museum

It displays watercolors by Tomihiro Hoshino, a poetry writer from Midori City who lost freedom of his body from the neck down in an accident and draws letters and drawings with a brush in his mouth. I am also moved by Hoshino's words, which accompany his paintings of rustic flowers. Journey time 1 hour.

The Hall of Pottery and Ryokan

The items collected by Kenju Matsushima, a businessman from the former Higashi village, were donated to Higashi (now Midori City) along with his birthplace. It displays specimens of stone tools and formations excavated from the ruins, as well as replicas of the head bones of a white-nosed deer and the skeleton of a mammoth. The formation of the Iwajuku site has been preserved and opened to the public as Iwajuku Dome.

Village of Kodaira

The park, which has a total length of 93m and is small, but with a wide range of varied stalactites. At the Botanical Garden (free admission), which continues from the Jongno-dong exit, you can enjoy seasonal flowers such as mountain grass. Especially the low-bai in winter is stunning. In the spring, there is a water petrel, in the summer, in the autumn, autumn leaves, and other campsites, as well as the Yūyūkan, which has well-received baths boiled with wood.

Nagame Yoakground

A play house built in the immediate vicinity of Takatsudo Gorge (1937). In the 1950 s and 30 s, many big-time popular singers took the stage, but closed in 1987. Its value as a cultural treasure has been reviewed and restored in recent years. On the day of the stage break, internal tours such as the stage can be made. You can also use the theater for a fee. Midori City Designated Important Cultural Property.

Takatsudo Gorge

The valley where the Watarase River flows, which originates in the mountains of Nikko. There is a promenade with a total length of about 500m along the river from the Takatsudo Bridge to the Hanetaki Bridge, so you can enjoy the beauty of the valley.

The dam lake was created by the Watarase River being dammed by the Kusagi Dam. The Tomihiro Museum, the National House, and the Warabe Studio, where you can experience woodworking, stand on the lakefront. In the spring, the cherry trees on the lakeside are beautiful on the lake surface.
