Moon Temple

It is nestled on a small hill north of Matsue-shinji Onsen. It was erected by Matsudaira Naomasa in the year of Kanbun 4 (1664) to mourn the bodhisattva of his mother, Tsuzuki-in, and later in the Bodaiji temple of the Matsudaira family. Tombstones from the first to the ninth generation are lined up at the temple, but those of the 6th generation Munenobu, which has a large turtle, are particularly noticeable. There is also a treasure hall with the goods of the feudal lord.
